Heath's Last Portrait

Heath Ledger sat for a revealing portrait session just weeks before his tragic death on January 22.
Australian artist Vincent Fantauzzo tells PageSix.com his painting is the result of an intense collaboration between himself and the 28-year-old star. “Before we did the painting we talked to all hours,” he says. “The night before, we talked about the painting and about art, and about all sorts of things.”
The haunting image “was an idea we discussed together and came up with… it was about how we all have different consciences and voices in our head that tell us what to do and how to react. They’re not good or bad, they’re just voices that we hear, telling us how to behave. That’s what the other figures are in the painting.”
Ocean Farewell
"There better not be a dry eye in the house" my dad warned, when talking about his funeral

Friends and loved ones of Heath Ledger (pictured above) said an emotional farewell to the actor by diving into the ocean at sunset on a beach in his hometown of Perth, Australia on Saturday. My family didn't dive into the ocean after my dad's funeral, but we did play a rousing, lengthy game of family funeral kickball in the rain. My dad insisted that we continue the family rule of NEVER eating the gross, unknown food that is served up in some musty church basement following a funeral. He always said, "If you skip right to dessert, you're generally pretty safe.".

Heath's Family Says Goodbye

Heath Ledger's family and former fiancée Michelle Williams joined hundreds of mourners at a memorial service for the star in his home town.
Heartbroken Michelle wore dark sunglasses and clung tightly to the hand of Ledger's sister Kate as they walked into the ceremony, held on a school playing field in Como, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. After the service, the family went to Fremantle Cemetery, where Ledger was laid to rest in front of about 10 members of his immediate family in what his father described as a "very, very private" funeral.
The actor is thought to have been cremated.
A wake was held at a restaurant on a Perth beach where Ledger had loved to surf.
Heath's Death Ruled Accidental

Just made public, the results of Heath Ledger’s autopsy tell that the actor’s death on January 22nd was due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
“Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine,” spokesperson Ellen Borakove released in a statement on Wednesday morning .
"We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications,” the statement added.
According to People magazine, unnamed police sources had previously told the Associated Press that “the actor had six prescription drugs, including anti-anxiety medications and sleeping pills.”
Yeah, it was an ACCIDENT, so those lame shows that insisted on showing video from TWO YEARS AGO where he snorted cocaine at a party, (BIG DEAL) are complete asses.
Sad and Sweet

“Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day. His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up in the best memories of him.”
Michelle Williams speaks out for the first time about the death of her former fiance and the father of her child, Heath Ledger.
