Halle Berry has carried on the tradition of celebrities giving their offspring unusual names, and named her newborn daughter, Nahla Ariela Aubry.

The Oscar-winning actress, who gave birth to her much longed for baby girl on Sunday morning, has been inspired by the Arabic word for 'drink of water' in naming her first born.

While the girl's middle name 'Ariel' comes from Hebrew and means 'lion for God'.

Star Magazine reports that Halle gave birth to a baby girl this morning at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. A source said, "Halle Berry had a 7lb 4 oz girl at 10:17am Sunday morning, March 16, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. The actress had checked into the hospital for the second time that day after feeling contractions earlier Saturday morning."
She named her Blue. Okay, I don't really know what she named her , but that would be cute.

Halle Berry is reportedly devastated that her man, Gabriel Aubry, is planning to live in NYC full-time. Halle wants to raise her kid in Los Angeles, but Gabriel doesn't give care about that! He told Halle he needs to stay in NYC for his modeling career.

Halle Berry Apologizes For Making Fun of Jewish Noses

Actress Halle Berry has been forced to issue a public apology after making an apparent anti-Semitic joke on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
During the taping for Friday’s show , the Oscar-winning star was showing Leno distorted images of herself on a computer, when she said: "Here’s where I look like my Jewish cousin!" as a picture of her with a large nose appeared.
When the joke received no laughs from the audience, Leno quipped, "I’m glad you said that and not me" - Berry requested the footage be scrapped.
However, an audience member tells New York gossip column, PageSix, "Ms. Berry should know how unbelievably inappropriate her comment was. She should be ashamed of herself."
