Rhianna had to put up quite a fight to record her hit, "Umbrella". The 19-year-old singer loved the song as soon as she heard it but was devastated when she heard Mary J. Blige wanted it as well. The real hold up wasn't Blige though, the song was on hold for Britney Spears comeback hit. They held it for her for a very long time, but, you guessed it.. Britney never called them back. Instead, she warbles her corny song, Baby Boy with a freaky music box chime in the background as she strains to sound like Christina Aguilera. Britney told a music exec, "Who wants to sing about an umbrella?"
