Actor Ron Lester, known for his “lovable fat guy” roles, such as the jolly Billy Bob in “Varsity Blues,” talks about his 315 pound weight loss in an interview on “The Today Show.”
37-year-old Lester, who tipped the scales at 509 pounds before turning 30, had gastric bypass surgery, flat lining during the operation, and numerous plastic surgeries to remove excess skin.
Lester was also in Freaks and Geeks, Good Burger, and Not Another Teen Movie. He has worked steadily since he was a teenager, but is now having trouble finding roles.
