Aretha, 65, was honored last night. She said : "This gown is so tight. It took me about 20 minutes to get in the car.
"I'm not kidding. I tried to get in the car 40 different ways."
She even received a video message from former US president Bill Clinton.
He told her: "Aretha Franklin, you're a true national treasure."
